2019+ Hitag AES Programming Requires Specialized Tools
RAM 1500, 2500, and 3500 trucks from 2019 onward use Hitag AES 128-bit encryption. Standard Philips 46 programmers will not work. We use AES-capable OBD-II equipment to pair these keys to the SKREEM module.
All-Keys-Lost on Newer RAMs Requires SKIM Reset
When all programmed keys are lost, the Sentry Key Remote Entry Module (SKIM) must be reset before new keys can be enrolled. We carry the tooling to perform this on-site without towing to a dealer.
2013-2018 Y164 Blade Mix-Up with Older Chrysler Profiles
The Y164 keyway on 2013-2018 RAMs is close in profile to the Y159 used on earlier trucks. An incorrect cut will insert but not turn. We verify the correct keyway via VIN before cutting.
ProMaster SIP22 Euro Blade Requires Different Blank Stock
The RAM ProMaster van uses the SIP22 European-style blade profile, not a standard domestic blank. We carry SIP22 stock specifically for ProMaster service calls.
Remote Start Not Functioning After Key Replacement
On RAMs with factory remote start, replacement keys must be programmed with the correct remote start module ID during the SKIM pairing process. We confirm all buttons including remote start are active before completing service.
